    Hi,

    I’m getting this message when I click “import”:

    An internal error appeared. Please try to open the layout file in Adobe InDesign® directly and check if that works. If this error persists, please contact our support.
    [Error code 404004]

    I have another Indesign file using same xlsx file and works well. All placeholders have the same name in xlsx.

     

    Diagnostics:

    MyDataMerge 1.6.11 (11927)
    Adobe InDesign 2020 (15.1.3.302)
    Microsoft Excel (16.32)
    OSX (10.13.6)
    Macmini5,1

    Hi there

    This error is a generic one from indesign. We will help you solve it :)

    Please reproduce it. Then right after it appears go to menu > help > Send Feedback

    Tick the checkbox and leave a note.

    Then we’ll receive the error logs and can tell you what’s going in.

    Yes, it solved! I have a issue with PT Sans font, don’t know why. I’ve just replace the font and bingo! Thanks!!!
