    I tried to import my indesign file with excel file
    but there was an error code that says
    No placeholders found.
    <span class=”errorcode”>[Error code 404504]</span>
    Check if your document contains placeholders embedded in ‘<<‘ and ‘>>’.
    so I checked both of my indesign file and excel file
    and there is on text file that used
    << or >>
    I don’t know how to solve this problem
    can you plz help me?

    oh I just solved the Error code 404504 problem!

     

    after the problem

     

    I tried to import my file

    but it says

     

     

    Found links to be updated: 1

     

     

    I checked my indesign file

    but there’s no error (the small red circle) in indesign

    and I don’t know which link I should check

    Hi Annie

    Please first check if you got the current MyDataMerge Version (Menu > Check for updates)

    Then open your Indesign document in Indesign.

    Check if …

    … There are missing fonts in the fonts menu. Update them.

    … There are missing or to be updated links in the link menu. Update them

    … You have text placeholders embedded like so “<<my placeholder name>>”

    Then try to import your layout file in MyDataMerge again.
