    I’m using the Fit Text to Frame (Decrease Only) style on my text frame, but the text ends up smaller than I’d like it to be. Is there a way to set a minimum font size so text can’t shrink smaller than say, 5pt?

    Hi Jessica,

    Setting a minimum font size will not solve your issue because then there will be overset text. And you won’t send a file out with overset text. Without knowing your exact scenario, i’d recommend to tune your layout so that even longer replacements can fit in.

    You may also upload images of your issue and show me and i can recommend best practices.

    Hi Pat,

    I’m working with templates for care labels that can’t be changed. I’d prefer to get an overset text error if the text can’t fit at the minimum size so I know to use a different file for that line in the dataset. In the few instances where text won’t fit at the preferred size the customer would prefer for everything to shrink to fit to a point when possible, but we can move to a longer label when absolutely necessary.

    Good News! We did implement a setting in the preferences for a minimum font size on text resizing. It will be delivered with the next version.
