    Hi Pat,

    I was on holiday and only tried to work with mydatamerge again today.
    Unfortunately, the software is no longer running on my computer: nothing has changed, but I cannot open the programme.
    I have also downloaded and installed the new version – but it doesn’t open either.
    So I can’t say anything at the moment.
    Do you have any idea what I can do?

    Hi Sabine,

    I separated the previous thread and started a new one with this topic (as both don’t belong to each other).

    Without providing any details, its hard to say anything. So i can only give general advices:

    1. Restart your machine without the checkbox ticked in the macOS shutdown dialog. (Important!)
    2. “How” does it not start? Did you click it, and does it start opening and keeping trying to start but you cannot see a window appearing? Or does it start and instantly stop? In the first case it is usually the connection to InDesign and/or Excel (where these apps don’t respond and MyDataMerge is trying over and over to establish a connection) – so restart Indesign and or Excel and see if it works then
    3. Send us your System info: macOS Version, InDesign Version, Excel Version

    sorry for my late feedback.
    We tried to re-install MyDataMerge, but after downloading and installation we got this massage:

    MyDataMerge kann nicht geöffnet werden, da Apple darin nicht nach Schadstofware suchen kann. Die Software muss aktualisiert werden. Wende Dich bitte an den Entwickler um weitere Informationen zu erhalten.

    MyDataMerge cannot be opened because Apple cannot search for malware in it. The software must be updated. Please contact the developer for more information.
    Plase let me know what to do.

    Hi Sabine,

    we always verify our software with Apple:

    • We send the software to Apple to notarize it (they run checks on it)
    • We sign our software
    • We are registered Developers at Apple

    This issue never appeared on any of our customers macs – so we assume this is a local issue.

    Did you download the newest version from the website?
    Which version of macOS do you use?

    You can try right click on the App and select “Open” in the context menu.

    We can confirm there is an issue with the latest install package. We will remove it soon and rebuild it.

    Meanwhile you can go with the previous version:

    Download MyDataMerge 2.1.5

    I do have a new computer – how can I deactivate the old device? I could not find this option in my account.
