What is a placeholder?

A placeholder is located in your layout file and is usually surrounded by << and >>.
Note: Placeholders must contain only alphanumeric, roman characters and spaces. Special characters will be rejected.

In the above example, the following placeholders will be imported to MyDataMerge:

• First Name
• Last Name
• Phone1
• Phone2
• EMail

Depending on the data you want to merge (text, image…), please check these replacement types:

• Replace with text
• Replace with image
• Replace with QR-Code

If you want to use a placeholder only for styling but not for merging content then have a look at Keep empty
