    Hi, I think I must be missing something as I am trying to add an image to the records on the trial version although it is not going green and I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong.

    I have selected download image and have a URL link inside the spreadsheet. Here is the example of the link we are using:

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Simon

    In the preview box to the right you can see a “more info” button. Clicking it will bring you to the log. There you can open the issue by clicking it.
    In your case it will tell you that a file extension is missing in the link. We need one to categorize the type of image and to place it properly within InDesign.

    To break it down: Generic links are not possible – we require a file extension in the link, then it will work.

    Hi Pat,

    I did wonder as much, so I appreciate the reply.

    However, I can’t see the ‘more info’ button in the preview box, to be fair, I can’t even see the preview box either. Can you point me in that direction so I can see for myself on future issues?

    Thanks for that Pat. I was struggling as the eye icon wasn’t there.

    I will change the image data source anyway and see how I get on and come back to you if I have any other questions.
