    Hi,

    Please see the below video.

    An error appeared while trying to apply a text style. Please restart Adobe Indesign and try again. If this error persists, please contact our support. If documents have been generated, please check them before usage.

    I can’t work out why it’s kicking up this error when I try to export MR per page layout provided.

    Hi James

    Could you please try to not include any placeholders in overset text (your placeholders are cut off)? This is a requirement.

    If this doesn’t work please do the following:

    Right after the issue appears, goto MyDataMerge > Menu > Help > Send feedback. Leave us a note and tick the checkbox. Then we’ll receive the error log and can check it for you.

    No worries – we’ll get that solved.

    Additional question: what kind of text style do you want to apply? Resizing? Character/paragraph format?

    Sorry for all the questions today.

    I’m not sure I can answer your question re: what kind of text style.. I don’t really know what it mean?

    I’ve just set the various placeholders in the format I want.. (font/weight/size).

    Strange that it works fine when turning off multiple records…

    See image of indesign file if this helps at all, you’ll see it’s quite a complicated one.

     

    P.S. Removing overset didn’t fix it.

    It also works when there’s only ONE of the above card (ie when I delete the duplicate…) so there’s definitely something weird going on with that.

    I just realised it might be because I am applying an uppercase transformation to fields with a ‘-‘ in them? Possibly?
