    I run into the message „MyDataMerge konnte dem Arbeitsordner keinen Ordner hinzufügen. Bitte speichern Sie Ihre Arbeit und starten Sie MyDataMerge neu. Dies kann manchmal Berechtigungsprobleme lösen.“.

    OS is Mac OS Sequoia 15.5. MyDataMerge is freshly updated to Version 2.2.2 (11998).

    I already tried the terminal command to reset the permissions and installed MyDataMerge again.

    Nothing helped until now. Maybe you have an educated guess?

    Hello Marcel,

    Please reproduce the error. Immediately afterward, do the following:

    • MyDataMerge Menu > Help > Send Feedback
      Click on the small question mark, then on Console in the popup.
    • Scroll down in the Console and look for “Error on creating folder structure: ….” at the end. Send us this line and the line after it with the “Error message: ….”

    These are the error messages issued by macOS that lead to the problem you mentioned. If we know them, we can help better.

    Hi Marcel,

    you must reproduce the error (so the error message appears). Then afterwards there should be an error message in the log.

    Hi there,

    you have selected a userfolder where apps don’t have access to – or at least something went wrong with your settings.

    Please delete your MyDataMerge preferences completely like so (note: this will delete all settings you have made under “preferences”)

    • Close MyDataMerge
    • Open Terminal (CMD+Space -> Enter “Terminal”, Open)
    • Enter this command:
      defaults delete com.toolboxcode.mydatamerge
    • Press enter
    • Open MyDataMerge -> This will ask you to select the workfolder location again. Please choose a folder inside your user folder e.g. in documents
