I am using the trial version, installed today. When I do any update in indd or xlsx file, the guided tour appears and the buttons Next / Close tour doesn’t work. Then, I have to close the app and start the process again. Is this it normal? Thanks.

thank you for giving us this Feedback! Of course this is not normal and we’ll get this sorted quickly!
Please answer these questions:How do you update the file?
- Drop a new one in the import section
- Just save the already imported one after making changes?
You wrote another post today, can we assume the technical data provided is still the same?

2019-06-18 at 8:38 pm #9180PatStaffThank you! In addition:
After the issue did appear, could you please use help > send feedback dialog and send us the protocol by hitting the checkbox (“Send anonymous system profile”) – in the message field just write something to get the form sent.
Can you reproduce the issue after restarting the machine completely? (There’s a strange bug known by Apple not saving some properties e.g. in our case that the Tour is already done)

2019-06-18 at 10:03 pm #9183PatStaffWe identified the issue with the Tour appearing – but this one is on Apple’s side so we need to find a workaround. It’s fixed with later OS versions automatically but we’ll find a solution for your OS in time also.
In the meantime – did you completely restart the machine – and did it happen then also?
Edit: Did you copy the app to the applications folder and run it from there? Do not run it from inside the DMG archive or from the desktop. Sandboxed apps only get access to parts of the filesystem when running it from the applications folder.
Edit 2: Please check if a specific file exists by following this tutorial
- Open a finder window and in the left sidebar get your username (the one next to the house icon)
- In the same finder window press CMD + SHIFT + G to open the “go to” dialog
- Copy the following path into that dialog and replace [username] with your username from point 1, then press enter
/Users/[username]/Library/Containers/com.toolboxcode.mydatamerge/Data/Library/Preferences/ - This will take you to MyDataMerges preferences. Check if a file called “com.toolboxcode.mydatamerge.plist” exists.
