    According to the Guidelines of the new Swiss QR Bill we want to create dynamic QR Codes.

    The Guidelines can be found on: https://www.paymentstandards.ch/dam/downloads/ig-qr-bill-de.pdf
    On Page 43 you can see, every information (QRType, Version, Coding Type etc.) has to be on a new line.

    If we put a New Line by pressing [alt] + [Enter] directly in the .xlsx Datasource File, the new line would be ignored.
    Alternativly we have tried to combine the informations inside the placeholder by selecting every data row followed by a static text with a newline.

    Is there a possibility to create these QR-Codes?

    Hi Marcel

    To add new lines to a TEXT Qr-Code add a static text with “\n” (without quotes).

    Side note:

    To speed up generation, add a background color to the textframe of your qrcode (even if it is white!)

    Hey Pat thank you!

    Tested it, but if i add static Text (as Text or inside the QR Code) \n there is no linebreak. Only the \n is written as text or QR-Code.

    Correct, if we Export One document per record everything ist OK.
    If we Export every record to one document it displays \n.

    For our customers we have to export every record to one file. Could you change that?

    By the way, do you see a possibility to setup a swiss qr bill directly inside the tool?

    Hi Marcel,

    we’re currently checking why QR-Codes for “All records in one document” option show the behaviour with NOT breaking lines.

    Hi Marcel

    Just wanted to let you know that we just released the update: https://mydatamerge.com/version-1-8-2/

    With the update you can (among a lot of other tweaks) add static text elements with linebreaks inside of the qrcode.
    If you edit the static text element you can either place a \n or click the button “linebreak”

    Please let me know if this fixes your issue

    i have to apologize – we’re currently re-releasing the newest update. It was (unfortunately) released only for M1 Macs instead of Intel AND M1 Macs. Please try to update again later that day. MyDataMerge is compatible down to 10.13
