    Hi,

    I’m working on this project with Mydatamerge with textframes where a description text is coupled with an Url.

    In some cases there’s no Url, but I want to keep the description text. If I select the “Delete frame with placeholder” in the process chain the description text “Hallo” is also deleted. See the example image. https://ibb.co/xmDQnVh The goal is that the Description text “Hallo” is published but just without an Url. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi Marco

    of course!

    In the placeholder editor you can create 2 setups. The one you already have and a duplicate of it. In the duplicate just define the text output without URL.

    Then use both setups in a process chain. Move the one without URL to first place. Enable conditions and process the first one (without URL) only if URL field in the datasource is empty.

    With this the text will be outputted if URL is empty and with URL text with a link will be outputted.

    Hello !

    I understand that you can choose a default URL if there is no data in our field. But can we have no link at all in case of empty field ?

    Of coure, titi – in your duplicated setup (where you want the text only), deactivate hyperlink option :)

    What Pat said is correct. In my example I used the same (static) Url but in the Excel sheet of my working project every Url is different or is somtimes omitting. With different Urls it also works.
