Hi!
I encountered a bug. When I select ‘Load preset’ and select the ‘Replace with image’-preset of a similar variable it ‘loads’ the placeholder presets of (a random?) placeholder.
Sometimes it’s even a ‘Replace with text’ preset. Due to this problem I’m unable to switch back to ‘Replace with image’, because it has been override with ‘Replace with text’. I have to rename the variable in the .indd document to reset this.
I don’t encounter this bug if I use the ‘Load preset’ option for a ‘Replace with text’-preset.

Thank you for reporting.
For your info: each placeholder can support multiple types.
For example if you have a textframe with nothing in than <<test>> it will support both “Replace with text” and “Replace with image”.
You can switch between these types in the placeholder editor.
Meaning so you can at the same time have a complete configuration for “Replace with image” and one for “Replace with text” in the same placeholder. The one selected is the one that matters for export.
Please try to only select a placeholder that has the same type selected. This is the DEFAULT setting of the preset view. If you change the type of the preset then the type of the placeholder you’re currently editing will be changed too.
Crashing still shouldn’t happen and we will dig I to that
