Hi
We work with a cruise company who have multiple restaurants on board multiple ships. When prices need updating we currently do this manually and wonder if Mydatamerge could be set up in a way that each of these menus could be updated using Excel spreadsheets?
Because there are multiple branded styles for each restaurant and even ships we would need to maintain font styles. I guess there would be a large body of work to initially set up each of the menus with placeholder data fields.
Would we need to run updates on each one individually e.g would we need a spreadsheet for each menu? The menus have varying products so I assume yes?
It’s a complex challenge but hope it might be something that could be achieved.
Thanks
Adi

MyDataMerge creates new documents on each run. So you will have one project file for every menu to be created. Once your setup is complete you can easily drop new excel file to the project and the resulting documents will contain the new prices.
What i didn’t understand yet is if you need the menus to be created completely by MyDataMerge or just need to “inject” the correct prices. Could you clarify?
If you need a “live update” of existing menu-files, then MyDataMerge isn’t the right tool for you, as it doesn’t link the data – then you have to go with EasyCatalaog for InDesign (which is capable of that but a lot more expensive and harder to learn).
