    Hi,

    I need help with a large project, crazy deadline.

    I would like to post my files but they are sensitive? Can someone from tech support give me an email to send my files to?

    I think this is a bug, I have tried and tried and have used your software many times with success but not on this big of a data project.

    Please advise how I can proceed!

    Hi briggs,

    you have more than 52 columns in that Excel which is the default range MyDataMerge scans. “Siding supplier” is on position 53 – that’s why this and any column after cannot be autolinked. Just increase the range by going to MyDataMerge preferences > editor > section “Datasource entry” and increase “columns to use for selecting data columns”.

    Column DJ is 114 columns, so enter 114, re-import datasource and you’re good to go.

    In a future update we will make this more comfortable.

    Hmm OK, I am currently using an csv and I have gotten past this hurdle. I guess because is CSV this setting is not relevant?

    Thanks gain for your amazing support and amazing software. I will confirm this on my end as soon as I have a chance!

    Hi – yes indeed this setting targets Excel only as Excel unfortunately doesn’t contain any information on how many columns are “filled” we had to define a default value which is 52 columns. We will improve this in future.

    For a csv we know the amount of columns and they all get imported automatically.

    If you want to stay with the comfort of excel just increase the number in the preferences and it will also work with Excel.
