Autolink has failed (I think because my column is ly020 and not ly02) and so I want to manually select the right column from my CSV. However, when clicking the ‘Edit’ option on the placeholder, it will only let me scroll right to column CW – which is #100. I have many more columns in my CSV. How can I select the right one (probably about #500!)?

    Thanks

    Hi Jeremy,

by default, MyDataMerge imports 52 columns of Excel. You can raise that easily by going to MyDataMerge “preferences > Import” and change the number of columns to be imported for preview selection. Then just re-import the file in the import section (click the reload icon).

Also good to know: We have already improved that and with the next update we implemented an auto-column detection. From then you don’t need to make this setting anymore :)

Edit: Is it a CSV file as you mention or a real Excel file you try to import? This issue is only known from Excel usually.

    Hi Pat,

Thanks, that works – clearly I’d already set it to 100 columns, but not 900+!

    Amazing :)

It is a CSV, yes – but I think I started changing ‘ly020’ to ‘ly02’ but didn’t get round to them all, or something…

    Cheers,

    Jeremy
