When I try to import from our server (where all our projects are located) i get this error. I have to copy over to my desktop just to be able to run a datamerge. Is there anyway to read from the server?

Is it an online server or a server in the local network? And how did you connect it? Smb?

We could not reproduce it with our local network. So we organized a Synology NAS and are currently testing against that. I’ll come back to you once we have results.

we’ve setup an environment with an SMB connected Synology NAS and we were not able to reproduce this.
So we need to specify. When you say “try to import from our server” what exactly do you mean. The InDesign file? Your datasource? Images? Or do you mean a MyDataMerge project?
Where does the error appear? When adding an InDesign file? When opening a MyDataMerge Project? Please specify more.
Additionally please do the following: Right after the issue appears in MyDataMerge go to MyDataMerge Menu > Help > Send Feedback. Make sure to tick the checkbox so we can receive logfiles and write us down a little note referencing to this ticket.
