Hi
Firstly, can I say, I have just completed a large data merge with MyDataMerge (2600 data fields across 20 pages). The data merge had text, images, font styles and object styles – something that I couldn’t have achieved without MyDataMerge – so thank you for a great piece of software.
However, I ran into a problem with the editing or updating the import settings for an individual placeholder. Even though I split the InDesign file into individual pages, some of the MyDataMerge files still had 392 data fields. So if I needed to edit one of the placeholders in MyDataMerge, I had to scroll down a long list to find the field I needed – which took quite a while (there doesn’t seem to be a reason for the ordering of the placeholder list).
If the placeholder list could be sorted alphabetically (or some other custom allowed sorting), then I would have been able to find the field I wanted in an instant.
I think it would be a great addition to the software.
Thanks
Frank

They are sorted by ID which means the order you added them.
